Pastoral Care
The Nurturing Heart of Alleyn Court
A Compassionate Community
Our approach to pastoral care is woven into everything we do, it’s a vital thread that runs through everything that we do and is the very fabric of our school day. The Alleyn Court ethos is rooted in the "Three C's": Curiosity, Courage, and Compassion. It is the principle of compassion that guides us in creating a community where children learn to care for themselves, support their friends, and understand the world around them.
As one of our students, Zenia, perfectly described it, Alleyn Court is "one big family and community". This close-knit atmosphere is a deliberate part of our educational philosophy, ensuring every child feels connected and supported as they grow.

Individual Attention for Every Child
We believe that a truly effective pastoral system starts with knowing each child as an individual. The school's small class sizes, with an average of 17 pupils, and high staff-to-student ratios ensure that every pupil receives the personalised care and attention they need. This allows our dedicated teachers to build strong relationships, observe individual progress, and provide tailored support.
Our commitment to every child's development is independently validated. The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) found that Alleyn Court provides "Excellent Academic Outcomes" and "Excellent Personal Development," confirming our success in nurturing the whole child. We also welcome children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as long as they are able to access our curriculum, and are committed to ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
