Safeguarding Statement: Alleyn Court Preparatory School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
All staff are expected to:
- Engage in regular safeguarding and child protection training
- Be familiar with, and follow, the school’s key policies (including Safeguarding & Child Protection, Behaviour, Whistleblowing and Online Safety)
- Remain vigilant, act swiftly on any concerns about a child, and know the procedures for reporting these concerns
- Be positive, professional role models for pupils and colleagues at all times
All posts at Alleyn Court are subject to:
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Where appropriate, a Section 128 check
- Rigorous scrutiny of employment history, including the exploration of any gaps
- Reference checks with previous employers
- A criminal self-declaration, and online searches of information that is publicly available
All roles are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
