Excellence in education for curious minds
We are a leading independent school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, committed to nurturing happy and curious children from 2 to 11 years, while achieving exceptional academic results.
Welcome to Alleyn Court
It is a privilege to lead Alleyn Court, an independent preparatory school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, where children can join us from the age of two and grow with us until eleven.
For me, a great education should result in two things: happy children and successful children. I don’t believe we should ever have to choose between the two.
We are academically ambitious for every child, with excellent progress and strong 11+ success preparing pupils for leading grammar and independent senior schools. But children achieve their best when they feel happy, safe, understood and excited about coming to school each morning.
Across our beautiful 14-acre grounds, there is space to explore, question, perform, compete, make mistakes, try again and simply enjoy growing up. We want every child to leave us confident and capable, with the curiosity, courage and compassion to thrive in whatever comes next.
Most importantly, children are genuinely known here. We notice their strengths, recognise when they need encouragement and celebrate what makes them different.
I warmly invite you to visit Alleyn Court, meet our children and experience our school for yourself. I hope, one day, we might become part of your child’s story too.
