Our Prep School consists of four year groups (school years 3-6). Small class sizes of rarely more than 20 children (in special circumstances we may admit to a maximum of 21) ensure that children receive focused attention and are able to thrive as individuals.
Children in Year 3 are taught by a dedicated class teacher much as children in the Pre Prep, supporting a gentle transition into the Prep School. In Year 4 specialist teaching in English and Maths is introduced alongside the existing provision.
In Year 5 & 6 children are introduced to a secondary school style education. Children have a form tutor responsible for their pastoral provision and all lessons provided by subject specialist teachers and support staff in dedicated facilities for subjects across the curriculum. This has proven to be extremely supportive of children's transition across to their secondary school of choice.
Children arrive at school from 8:15am and can be collected at 3:30pm. A variety of enriching clubs and activities are available before, during and after the school day, including interests such as debating, astronomy and cricket. In addition, children are able to participate in a number of clubs and activities run by external providers during the school day such as music lessons, fencing and LAMDA.
I think Alleyn Court Preparatory School is a great school where all of the students can express themselves. It is a school full of spectacular teachers and incredible lessons. The children all make a very good team and the teachers are always very supportive.
