Sports Coach (Football Specialism) (Part Time)

 

Job: Sports Coach (Football Specialism)
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Alleyn Court Preparatory School, Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Contract: Part-time

Alleyn Court Preparatory School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Sports Coach with a specialism in football to join our thriving Games Department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a school with a proud tradition of sporting excellence, outstanding facilities, and a deep commitment to nurturing talent in pupils of all abilities.

About the Role:
You will:

  • Deliver high-quality football coaching sessions to pupils from Year 1 to Year 6
  • Contribute to the wider Games and PE curriculum across a range of sports
  • Support the school’s extensive fixture and tournament calendar, including some after-school commitments
  • Help identify and develop sporting potential in all children, promoting teamwork, fair play, and enjoyment
  • Work closely with the Director of Sport and other coaches to continue building our successful football programme

Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised coaching qualification in football (minimum FA Level 1 or equivalent; Level 2+ desirable)
  • Experience coaching children aged 5–11 in a school, club, or academy setting
  • A commitment to delivering engaging, inclusive sessions that build confidence and skill
  • The ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • A willingness to be involved in school life beyond the pitch

Early Years Practitioner (Full Time)

Start Date: September 2025
Location: Alleyn Court Preparatory School, Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Contract: Full-time

Alleyn Court Preparatory School is looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering an exceptional standard of care to join our Pre-Prep. You will work as part of a team planning, monitoring and evaluating activities for children from two to five years of age. You will be responsible for the care and education of the children under the supervision and guidance of our experienced staff.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include term time working hours, on going training and development and free lunch if eaten with the children.


We are an ‘outstanding’ Pre-Prep with a Montessori ethos and a passion for delivering exceptional care to children in our school as well as a positive environment for our staff. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all staff and volunteers are required to share this commitment.

Purpose of Post

1. To support Lead teachers in offering our youngest children an enriching start to school life.

2. To contribute to a high quality caring environment for children. This includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.
