Early Years Entitlement (EYE)
At Alleyn Court, we offer a range of Nursery sessions and attendance patterns for children from age 2. Families may choose a combination of funded hours (where eligible) and privately paid sessions, depending on the days and hours required.
Eligible families may be able to access government-funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years, in line with the current national entitlement and local authority arrangements. Funding is administered through Southend-on-Sea City Council, and parents must meet the relevant eligibility criteria.
Funded hours are offered free of charge. Where families choose additional hours, extended days, or optional services beyond the funded entitlement, these will be charged at our published Nursery rates. Any optional extras are explained clearly in advance and are not a condition of taking up a funded place.
To discuss the most suitable attendance pattern for your child, including how funded hours may be used at Alleyn Court, please contact our Admissions team / school office.

30-Hour Entitlement
Continuation of Funding into Reception
We are pleased to offer financial continuity during your child's critical transition year:
The Universal 15-Hour Entitlement continues to be available for eligible children enrolled in our Reception class. In alignment with Southend and Essex Council guidelines, the funding continues up until the end of Term 5 (the term before your child reaches compulsory school age).
This means families receive a fees reduction in Reception up to the required cut-off point, ensuring a smooth financial and educational transition.
