Year 3's Viking Visitor

Year 3 had a very exciting day as part of their Viking topic as a real life Viking visited Alleyn Court for the day. Here is what some of the pupils thought about their experience:

"I found it scary the way the day started – Ash came out of nowhere" (Amber)

"I enjoyed acting out a battle using our swords and shields" (Sebby)

"I loved trying out the outfits and chain-mail and looking at the artefacts" (Sophie D)

"I liked playing the boat game and understanding how the Vikings delivered their goods safely in their longships" (Sophie S)

"The best part was acting out the story of the Gods and how Thor got his hammer" (Polly)

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend it to next year’s Year 3’s.
