A Message from our Headmaster

I am extremely proud and privileged to be Headmaster of such a wonderful school, with a fine reputation for success and excellence in all that we offer and achieve. I believe in opportunities and inclusion for all, with every child having the opportunity to shine and be recognised. If a child has a talent, then we will be sure to unearth it. Celebration, praise and reward are significant features within the school.

For a school to have celebrated it’s centenary  under the careful guidance and control of the Wilcox family, yet still retain such an incredible atmosphere and reputation, is truly remarkable. Moreover, the school’s motto – ‘Non Progredi Est Regredi’ – not to go forwards is to go backwards – indicates the continual evolution that the school has faced over that time, without diminishing that special aura that exists

Children are certainly at the heart of the school and you only have to visit, to witness their enthusiasm and enjoyment of all that they are part of  at Alleyn Court. Whatever opportunities they have – they are seized and capitalised upon with a sense of purpose and achievement, not to mention the broad smile that is often prevalent.

Sadly, neither  this website nor our prospectus can truly convey the warm and welcoming atmosphere  or the happy, confident and engaging children that we have at Alleyn Court. This can only be sampled and fully appreciated from a visit to the school, where I will be more than happy to show you round and introduce you to those who matter most – the pupils. They will be only too keen to engage in conversation with you and share their pride and passion for their school, as well of course to answer all your questions.
