Alleyn Court is a friendly, caring school with happy and enthusiastic children. We have an outstanding Early Years department in our two parallel Montessori Pre-prep Schools, sited at each end of Southend, one on the Main School site and one in Westcliff. The early years in education are of crucial importance and we offer outstanding opportunities for children to learn in friendly, structured environments with access to splendid facilities.
 

At the beginning of Year 1 our children move into the Junior School in its own building at the Main School site in Thorpe Bay. Here the children enjoy excellent facilities and 13 acres of beautiful grounds. We believe in offering a broad curriculum augmented by a wide range of sports and other activities. Music, Art,  French, Information Technology, Drama, PE and Games all have a strong presence and are taught by specialist teachers.

At the start of Year 4 our pupils join the Senior School with increasing specialist teaching. In Years 5 and 6 every single lesson is taught by a subject specialist teacher. Although Alleyn Court is a non-selective school we have high expectations of all our pupils to fulfil their potential academically, artistically, socially and in sport. 

We prepare the children for the 11+ to enter the excellent local grammar schools, all of which figure each year in the top 50 state schools in the country. Our pupils are also prepared for entry to a wide variety of senior schools including major independent schools and local comprehensives at age 11. Huge support is given to all children that experience learning difficulties, and they receive expert attention from our learning support staff.

There are over 320 pupils in the school who are taught by more than 40 highly dedicated and fully qualified teachers supported by five teaching assistants. Entry is from 2½ years upwards and according to availability of places. Early registration is advisable.
