The aim of Religious Education is to support children in reflecting upon, developing and affirming their own beliefs, values and attitudes, and those other faiths. At Alleyn Court we seek to achieve this aim through our exploration of shared human experiences and of the place and significance of religion in the contemporary world.
We value the religious backgrounds, beliefs and values of all members of the school community and encourage individuals to share their own experiences with others freely. We have developed a range of religious artefacts and resources to promote a more sensory approach to teaching and learning and we welcome visitors from different faiths to come into our lessons and assemblies to enhance our provision.
Finally, we organise trips for children to visit places of worship so that they can make their own observations and we positively encourage personal enquiry and reflection upon their experiences.
