Alleyn Court's fine reputation for cricket has been enhanced over the last week as two different teams have enjoyed significant success in different tournaments.
Six members of the school's 1st XI won the Orwell Park invitational 6-a-side trophy, winning every match in the process. Mr Lockhart reports of an "excellent day's cricket" in which the boys were "fully deserving of their success in an excellent team performance."
Eight members of the school's second XI meanwhile fared adeptly in reaching the final of the local SSCO Kwik Cricket tournament. Unfortunately they just failed to maintain their composure in the final but still finished in a very creditable 2nd place out of approximately 16 teams. A full report of this achievement can be read here.
