Year 5 Girls— County Champions 2011.
This year‘s field of teams and runners was the largest so far in the history of the Essex Primary Schools Championships. The Year 5 girls produced a superb result to become County Team Champions. Meghan Samuels produced an outstanding performance to finish in 2nd place. The Year 6 boys finished in 3rd place. Mitchel Cox also produced a superb run to finish in 2nd place by just a few meters. The Year 5 boys and Year 6 girls also did very well to come 5th in their respective competitions. With all these posi- tions aggregated, we had a grand total of 14 points which meant that we retained our position as Overall School County Champions for the 3rd succes- sive year. A fantastic achievement for the school.
With Essex being the second largest county in Eng- land, this is a fantastic achievement and due reward for the children‘s effort and dedication to cross- country and to Mr Hart‘s coaching.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and everyone else who has supported Alleyn Court Teams this term. Mr Hart
