Thorpe Bay Site

The Thorpe Bay Pre-Prep enjoys all the facilities of  the main school such as a purpose built gym, an assembly hall for concerts and large grounds.  However, it still remains independent with its own fenced playground at the front.   

The light and airy  building  houses three spacious classrooms for Pre-nursery, Nursery and Kindergarten.  Each class is well equipped with a wide range of  resources, including Montessori apparatus.  Some of the rooms back onto a maze and a pretty walled garden which the children enjoy playing in on warm days.  There is an excellent range of outdoor toys available, including scooters and pedal toys, a playhouse, sand boxes  and climbing equipment.

Westcliff Site

The Westcliff Pre-Prep is set in a large and beautiful house in a residential street in Westcliff-on-Sea. This site was the centre of the original school from 1904 to 1993, when the rest of the school moved to its current rural setting.

There are four classes in the building spread over three floors:
Pre-Nursery, Nursery and two Kindergartens (Reception), and a Library, French Room and Staff Room.

All classes are well equipped with an excellent range of resources, including Montessori apparatus. The classrooms are spacious but cosy with a real sense of homeliness.  There is a large Dining Room where food is freshly cooked daily on the premises. This large space  is also used for P.E./Spatial Activities as well as our bi-annual productions.
