This month has been fabulously quiet for the PTA. It‘s always nice for us to be able to have a natter in the playground with- out asking people for donations to raffles or money from pockets for various reasons! Having said that, the PTA held a very successful coffee morning in aid of Comic Relief. Thank you to all who donated beautiful home made cakes, to those of you who attended and more importantly those who donated money. We raised over £170. Well done everyone!
The children have recently been invited to take part in on our Easter Art Competition as de- tailed in a letter sent out to you. To participate the children have to design a picture at home with an Easter theme and bring it in to school with a £1 entry fee attached by Monday, 28th March. Each child that enters will receive a Cadbury‘s Creme Egg and also get the chance to win a full sized Easter egg when all entries are judged in 3 categories (pre-prep, junior and senior). So make them as beau- tiful and bright as possible for the chance to win one of these fabulous prizes. Good luck kids!
It is also the time of the year when the Easter Bunny visits both pre-preps. She‘ll be play- ing a fun game with the children and dishing out the eggs in the morning of Tuesday 5th April.
Copies of our Alleyn Court‘s Very Own Cookbook are now available to buy at the bargain price of £7.50 each. Details of how to purchase one of these books have been sent out in a letter. Copies of the books can be found in the school office at our Thorpe Bay site and in the entrance hall at our Westcliff site for you to have a look through.
While I have your attention I‘d like to make you aware of some dates for your diaries. The arrangements for this year‘s Sum- mer Ball (which is on Saturday 18th June) are now well under way and we‘re all very much looking forward to glamming ourselves up for this annual event. Letters explaining how to purchase tickets for this fabulous event will be coming your way soon. Following it‘s success last year, we will be organising another special raffle giving you the chance to win 2 tickets to the Ball for just £5. As always a letter will be sent out with the children detailing this. The Summer Fair has been set for Friday 24th June 3pm-6pm and our Bouncy Castle Day for Monday, 4th July 3pm-5pm. We know the children love these events and we have our fingers crossed that the sun shines on these days.
That‘s all from me for now –
Nicola and all on the PTA
