It seems such a long way away now but December was a great month wasn’t it. I would like to thank both Graham Larwood and Sara Findlay for their help in organising the children’s personalised Christmas cards. This was such a huge time consuming task and it is very much appreciated. The children’s Christmas Discos were thoroughly enjoyed and the children showed off their fabulous moves. Thank you to all helpers on both evenings. Special thanks must go to Kate Jackson-Higgs and Jane Fitzger- ald for organising and overseeing the running of them.

After having been postponed due to the snow and chaos it caused, the Christmas Fair was held without a hitch, even if it was not on as much of a grand affair as had been envisioned originally. I’d like to thank everyone who gave up their time, energy, support and hard earned pennies in making the Fair a massive success once again. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the following people for kindly donating some wonderful prizes to our Christmas Raffle : Sar- gent Fencing, Hunt Roche, Dan- iel James Master Services, Oak- hurst Footwear, Woodford Meats and J Bates Services. For details on the services these companies offer, please come and find me. And lastly, my thanks must go to Louise Duffin and Claire Furley for their hard work in making the wonderful sock toys all the children were talking about in December. I know both ladies spent hours making these much loved toys and they were a hit.
