Useful information

Year One

The children in Year One are the youngest in the Junior School and follow a slightly different daily routine to the other children in the school.  For Year One the school day begins at 8:35a.m.  They will then have registration and then either go to assembly, or have PHSE time until 9:00 a.m. which is when lessons begin. They have a 30 minute mid morning break at the same time as the other children at 10:45 a.m. The children eat lunch at around 12:15 p.m. and then have one further lesson from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. before they have their midday playtime.  The school day finishes at 3:15 p.m. at which time the children have the option of being collected, or attending one of our numerous after-school clubs. The children are looked after by their teachers until the after-school clubs begin.

Years Two and Three

When the children move into Year Two, they follow the same daily routine as the older children in the school. They begin school at 8:30 a.m. and after registration they start lessons at 9.00 a.m.  After three lessons they have their mid morning break at 10.45 a.m., which is followed by three further lessons.

Lunch break begins at 12:45 p.m. for Year Two children and 12:50 p.m. for children in Year Three and lasts until 2.05 p.m.  Lessons end at 3.30 p.m. and the children may then go home or attend one of our after-school clubs.  Before clubs start the children may go to the dining room and have a snack.
