Welcome to our
Junior School pages
| Our Junior School comprises
Years One, Two and Three, with two classes in each year group. The
children spend most of the time with their brilliant class teachers and enjoy the happy,
caring atmosphere we create in the classroom. They are taught some
lessons by subject specialists: these include Art, Music, P.E. and
Games, French and ICT (Year One).
In addition to our outstanding teaching team, we are fortunate to have
an excellent team of dedicated teaching assistants to support the
children's learning. |

| We place a high emphasis on Literacy and
Mathematics, but also value the importance of Science, History, Geography,
Physical Education, French, Art, Music, ICT, Design and Technology, RE and PSHE. Learning
takes place both in the classroom and around the school grounds using a
range of teaching styles to engage the children. The children also
take part in school trips to enhance their learning experience.
All of the children take part in our Junior School Christmas production
and perform in assemblies throughout the year. Being able to perform
in front of their parents and the other children helps them to grow in
confidence. Parents are always welcome to come in and discuss any aspect
of their child's school life, either with the Class Teacher, our Junior
School Co-ordinator or the Head Teacher. |
